Loading Office onto more than one PC

I can never remember exactly what the 'rules' are about how many PCs/laptops I can load Office onto.

I have Office 2002/XP which came pre-loaded on a Dell PC. Can I also load this onto a laptop for my personal use?

I also have Office 2003 which I bought as a 'stand-alone' package with a Student/Teacher licence. I've already loaded it onto my elder daughter's laptop which she uses at Uni. Can I also load it onto my younger daughter's laptop for use at Uni? Both laptops will be in use.

I don't think this is allowed. I believe it is similar to the OS - one per computer.

PS - though I am not sure about the Teacher/Student licence.

Student Teacher 2003 is licensed for use on up to 3 non-commercial PCs.

You can install other copies on one desktop and one laptop .

The licence that came with the above allows me to install it on 3 computers.

Hope this helps :-)

Thanks for all your input.

Guess I'll load the Student/Teacher 2003 onto my younger daughter's laptop!
