click here for the 4400 with an L2cache of 1mb

And you have peace of mind with Novatech

  Tribal-Wolf 15:32 05 Dec 2006

Yes it will be ok click here

Thanks for your replies, guys. That's gratifying.
Madboy, are you saying the 4400 would be better, as it has L2cache of 2x1mb, as oppossed to 2x512kb on the 4600?

  Yo Ho 04:48 06 Dec 2006

Just while I'm at it. If, as I probably will, get the 4400. Is it just a matter of swapping the processors over, or are there other adjustments that will need to be made?

  User-312386 07:22 06 Dec 2006

With regards to your first point, yes the 4400 would be better

With regards to your second point, you will need to go into the BIOS and "load optimised default settings"

Also dont forget to download and install the optimised driver for the X2 core click here

I assume you downloaded the optimised driver for your single 64 core?

  Yo Ho 08:21 06 Dec 2006

Oh dear. No I didn't download optimised driver, Madboy. Must look at that first.
Novatech charge a p&p surcharge of £14.10 for N Ireland. That has put me off them, though I have e-mailed them. Can't see why they can't send it by Royal Mail/Parcel Force, as the charges are the same as for UK Mainland.

Would this be the driver I need?
