Hi there,

I have an old 200MHZ PC that I what to set up as a firewall using Linux 8.0. My other machine is shared between Win XP Home / Win98 / Linux 8.0

Can someone please direct me to a site where I can get good info on how to go about setting up my firewall.

Thanks guys

Tx Rayburn,

It makes for interesting reading, although somewhat over my head. What I want to do is to create a simply firewall for my home pc, more for experimenting that any other reason. :)

Try this site, freesco, its a Linux take on Cisco, it runs on a floppy , acts as a firewall, router, the lot in one little floppy, easy to set up ...

Ideal for what you want

See also this distro:

And this one may prove even more suitable:

You will probably find that to use a specialist distro like the above is a lot more suitable for the project you have in mind rather than trying to build one yourself using your existing one.
