Linksys Broadband Router Connectivity problems

I have just set up a Linksys WRT54GC router with an ntl cable Broadband modem in my garden office and wired to two PCs - main running Win2k, second WinXP Home. Both see each other and connect to the internet.

I have two other PCs in the house: one has a Linksys Wireless-G PCI adapter card and is running Win XP Home edition, the other is a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo laptop running Win XP Home Edition with an Intel (2) PRO/Wireless 2200BG network connection card. Both do not connect to the wireless network when they are asked to obtain an IP address automatically. If I assign IP address 192.168.1.99 to one and 192.168.1.80 to the other both connect to the wireless network but do notconnect to the internet or are seen on the workgroup network places.

I have checked the DHCP Client is started and automatic as well as the DNS Client.

Any ideas where I am going wrong?

I forgot to mention that I have disabled all the firewalls. Also the ip.configs from the two wired PCs are as follows:

On the 2 PCs that don't connect make sure you have removed the manual IPs and gone back to obtain IP/DNS automatically - as long as your router has DHCP enabled this is the best way to configure them. From the ipconfigs it looks like you have TCPIP v6 installed. Nothing uses this at the moment so uninstall it and restart the pcs as it may be causing problems.

Thanks PL - tried that already but it didn't work.

Decided to go back to basics by resetting the router, then reconfigured it changing the channel number and the encryption to 64-bit. Then reconfigured both PC adaptors and it worked! Don't know why!!!
