Lexmark X4550 WiFi printer communication problem

  aaston 11:57 22 Mar 2008

My printer is supposed to be connected to my Acer Laptop (Vista) via my wireless network
but it doesn't seem to be communicating at all with my PC. I've tried
uninstalling the printer and reinstalling it
several times. After going through setup, it says it has connected with my
router and displays the green Wi-Fi light. However, when I open
the Windows Network centre on my PC, the printer isn't there, nor can the
PC detect it wirelessly. Printed the settings page and that seems fine but when I send items to
print, windows shows the status as 'sent to printer' and the Lexmark pop-up box says "printing completed", but the printer hasn't even started up. I can't print anything.

I would hope the missing word on the page I've linked to is `installed`...
