Lenovo Fingerprint Software problem

  smike2 10:47 09 Nov 2007

I have ought a Lenovo Laptop with a fingerprint scaner built in.

At end of startup startup I get a 'Lenovo Fingerprint Ssoftware' window asking me to setup/verify my fingerprint, and then immediately a seond 'empty password' window telling me that my password is empty, and asking if I want to create one.
I do not, so I respond 'NO' to get rid of this screen second screen, and then respond 'exit' to get rid of the first window, having first unticked a 'Show this dialog on Startup' box to stop getting this window every time I start up. The machine is then ready to use.
However, this pair of windows still re-appear every time I start the machine.

Does anyone know how to get rid of it please?

I have set up windows XP with only an administrator, and no password, as this machine is in a secure environment, and I wish it to boot fully without being asked for a password or fingerprint part way through the startup.

Have you checked the fingerprint scanner software options to see if it can be disable???

Hi Ambra4,

There is a tick box to disable the program running at startup, but it doesn't work!
