I work for a company that is in the recycling business, all sorts of IT stuff is dumped.
I copy the numbers from the ,usually.underside of the dumped PC and have an Xp number, easily activated.
This number is not being used on another PC,so all is OK?

In short, no! Technically the dumped pc's and their numbers belong to the recycling company.

And most likely the number is an OEM installation that dies with the PC.
