Latest Thunderbird errors in the SMTP

refuses to send mail because an 'Authorization box need to be unticked.
Trouble is cant find that box anywhere to untick- Not in Tools/Options or any other of the usual hiding places

In the SMTP server settings for your particular email 'Account', you may have selected the option for SMTP Authentication. If your ISP doesn't support/require this, it should be disabled.

Check in the outgoing server settings that the box 'use secure authentification' has not become ticked. This happened to me when I updated to TB3.
