Laser Toner refill troubles in Samsung CLP315

  jack 09:43 24 Dec 2009

I recently filled the blue cartridge with blue toner and it worked well with the other two original starter carts and 'proper' black.
The yellow and red were showing signs of needing a recharge which I did.

A test print of a text document worked fine
However a print in full colour and the machine jammed with paper scrunched up in the fuser.
Cleared it.
Did another text test -fine
Did another full color test and another jam as above.

So is it the refill toner not being liked
or is it possibly cold weather making the paper cold and perhaps damp?
Any opinions please.

Try some other paper if you can. Poor/damaged paper can cause photocopier jams.

I would check you fitted the carts right by removing and refitting. Don't see how toner could could have anything to do with it. unless its the Paper settings that producing more or less heat to the toner and paper is sticking to drum

try different paper settings

The engineer came on Wednesday and fitted a new fuserHe left the old on as a 'spre' though I noticed that the cover on one of the rollers is quite 'corrugated', so perhaps knackered.
The conclusion was the paper in the tray had got damp.
So now I keep the tray downstairs in the warm, and only take it to printer in the g enerally unheated 'Computer Room' on an if and when basis.
