Lapttop / Netbook / Notebook advice

  cliff100 11:45 11 Dec 2009

Hi my son wants one of the above and will need to run specific software on it. He only wants to spend around the £200 mark so would look at 2nd hand if needed. He wants it portable so I thought about a netbook and have seen this one on ebay : click here
He will also do the usual emails , internet etc..
Can someone give me some advice on if the following software would run ok on the netbook or is this completly wrong for this type of application. I went to PC world yesterday / Curry and comet but no one could give me advice. the software is called reason click here

One thing you do notice is the netbooks have no Cd /DVd drives so he understands this would need to be hooked up to an external one. Hope someone can give some inpartial advice.

Do we really just need to look at small laptops instead ?

the seller is too new for me,i don't buy off ebay so others will advise better but you need to be extremely wary.

Why not Google for *Refurbished Laptops*, I am sure you will find plenty to choose from. I would advise getting a Laptop as opposed to a Netbook.

I would be very wary of eBay, especially at this time of the year.
