Hi thanks for reading this.
i was lucky enough to get a advent laptop for xmas. i was reading the manual and came across the the section titled tv out. It went on to explain about the connectivtey using a lead direct from the back of the laptop to the TV. But it doesn't give the leads name or number.
can any one please tell me what lead i need and is it worth the bother.
the said port on the back of my laptop is round with 7 tiny pin holes.
many thanks ozzy...

it sounds like its an svs lead you would need a svs to scart cable and seperate connections for audio.

i was thinking of tv out from graphics card which is the norm on pc, as yours is a laptop (which i missed) i would think that socket is more likely to be a mini din carrying both, check it in your handbook re spec/description of the socket.
