laptop to PC transfer

  rabbitrabbit 12:02 22 Jun 2005

my friend has a laptop.
and her modem is messed up.
she can't access the net anymore.
someone suggested she should wipe her hard drive. start again.
so she wants me to do that.
she has few documents that need tranferring.
nothing huge.
what's the best way to go about this?
i have a network at the office.
perhaps i can plug the latop in here.
transfer the data to my computer.
wipe the latop.
transfer the data back.
any thoughts?

Size of files is the problem.

Will they fit on floppy?

Have you got a CD writer installed?

or a card reader that can plug into a USB port?

How easy is it to set permissions and connet to your network?

Know any on with an externat usb Harddrive or Cd writer?

USB link cables approx £15
