After buying a secondhand Laptop (Toshiba satellite pro PS600E-01NYE-EN)I formatted the hard drive and installed WinXP Pro,but with 128mb of ram it was very slow,I removed the ram to check the type etc, I then replaced it,but now it seems dead, only the mains and battery lights come on,can anyone help please

Hi.Here's a late answer for you! Are you sure you put it back in the right slot? Also check it is fully home before tilting it down into postion, you should only barely see the gold contacts when fully inserted. hope you have already got it sorted by this time though :)

They will tell you what you should/can have and for how much. click here

It is more than likely that the process of removing and reinstalling the RAM has damaged it.

my money is on, that it has not been put back right. hence you have only the mains light coming on...
