laptop memory upgrade?

im buying an old laptop, (ibm thinkpad x22, dirt cheap though!!) the ram is only 128mb, and says the ram capacity 0.625, does this mean that i could only upgrade the memory to this amount?

PS. I'm guessing you can add 512 to the unmovable 128MB you already have installed. Sometimes laptops have an unmovable memory module soldered to the motherboard and a free slot accessable via a panel on the bottom of the laptop, as normal.

thanks MAJ, i haven't got it yet, but for £25, its worth it, even i can trade it with someone for a new phone im desparate for!!! if you've got any advice on any other upggrades i could do on it, that'd be cool,

There's not a lot more you could do to it, darthballs and it's at about the minimum specs for XP (with the new memory). You might be able to upgrade the "Wireless LAN: 802.11b Mini-PCI card" to enable 802.11b AND g to improve the wireless capabilities. Make sure that XP Pro is legit, because it's unlikely that XP was the original OS. It would be a good surfing laptop for around the house and garden if you already use a wireless router, also useful for those Office documents. Nice price, £25.
