Please can anyone out there help me with the following. I am trying to sort out my sons Laptop as my Daughter had Installed something then Unistalled it and since then the Keyboard won't work. I have tried System Restore as well as a Restore facility the come with the Laptop and nothing works when the keys are pressed. The only keys that come up when in word for exapmple are the A,E,I,O,U with a small mark above them (don't know what u call it).
Anyone any idea what the problem may be and how i can fix it????? Any help is much appreciated.

Have you got the Fn key or other number lock set on keyboard?

Shot in the dark.

Have you tried safe mode and last known good configuration.
Tapping F8 on startup should get you into safe mode.

Use the mouse to get to control panel - regional settings and langages, and set everything to English UK.
