laptop internet drom a 11g wireless router

hi.. i have just got a laptop and am trying to connect to internet i have a 11g wireless router which is connected to 2 pc`s using a ethernet cable...is it possible to use this connection 4 the laptop internet...thanx!

It will depend on the model of the router, can you post the make and model number.

If it is a wireless router you may need to turn the wireless on both router and laptop and then configure the settings.

Yes
either connet an ether net cable to it from the router
or
if the laptop has a wireless card
run the XP wireless configuration wizard from the control panel.

You have to Go into Router Setup Page to Enable Wireless Settings, Also After you get it to connect go back into setup page and set encryption to WPA not Wep right down SSID and Encryption key that you create as you will need these for the Laptop settings

You open Internet Explorer then in the address box type 192.168.1.1 press enter then Password may be admin
