the various mobile operators [3,vodaphone, Tmobile] are selling dongles for laptops that pick up fast internet anywhere in uk some also cover europe [3].

are they any good, anyone tried them?

after feedback on best deal / speed / reception etc

might come in hany when we go camping, saving us hunting round for a wifi cafe.

They're good if the operator you choose has decent coverage in the area you're in or staying at. Some don't give a great deal of monthly usage, so downloading large files is not recommended.

Take care as Coverage is not what you think, its like Mobil Phone Check as they Differ Orange and T/Mobile etc

If you have good coverage in the area you want to use them they are quite good but as said by MAJ and woodchip can be bad if not. In the area we live one of my son's used T Mobile and said it was good and my youngest son uses 3 and is always complaining about lack of connection.

Okay for surfing and e-mail when on the go but as above not much else as it expensive to use
