Laptop Driver Question

  gengiscant 09:22 13 Nov 2009

I was given and have been using after repair a Toshiba SP10 504 (MODEL NO PSP 10E 00RXM-EN). It has been a fairly useful PC whilst restricted to bed for a while, but now I would like to sell it on.
My problem is I have never got the touch pad to work, which hasn't been a problem to me as I have always used a mouse.

I had to go to the Toshiba site to get the rest of the drivers click here and as you can see there are more than a 100 files. I got the rest of the divers, probably luck more than anything else, but the touch pad has eluded me.So can anybody help me with that?

Another question is I intend to reinstall XP, so will need to reinstall all drivers. Is there a way to save them to a USB prior to format, to save time etc?

As rawprawn said you need to remove the space between http: and // to make the link work.

Downloaded and installed, still nothing.
This is my first laptop so it is quite likely I am missing something simple.

Maybe the touchpad is disabled. On many Toshiba laptops you press Fn+F9 keys to enable/disable the touchpad. Or try going to Control Panel - Mouse - Properties - look for something like touchpad options maybe?
