Language Change in Windows XP?

I just saw new ACER notebooks on sale in Calais at €799 (less than £500) including 15" screen and DVD/CDRW drive plus Windows XP Home. Only problem is that all Windows screens are in French, and changing the language to English reqires insertion of the Windows XP disk, which is not supplied with the computer.

Is there any way to change the language, e.g. by download, in the absence of the disk?

If you have a friend with a disk, you may be able to borrow theirs to change it?

Thank You, I had thought of that method but suspect that Microsoft have have fixed it so that a disk supplied with one PC cannot be used on another, in other words it is only a rescue disk for a single PC. Do you know different? I think a full CD might work but do not know anyone with one.
