Hi Everyone,
I am on broadband with wanado/orange and the connection is through my BT landline, we are thinking of having the phone + landline disconnected (not using the phone and been charged a fortune in rental) is there any other way to get broadband without a landline.

I,m new to computers so please excuse my ignorance.

You can also get BB through cable (if available in your area) - or satellite, which is horrendously expensive.

Otherwise ADSL comes through your landline cable, so you cannot do without it.

"not using the phone and been charged a fortune in rental"

What constitutes a "fortune"?

BT's basic line rental (Option 1) is £11 a month.
