bought a labtec laser 1200 and will not install on my desktop pc.tried it on my laptop and it works ok.put it back on to my desktop and it says it does not recognise it.please help
Would have been nice of you to tell us its a Wireless Keyboard & Mouse. Are they supported by the Operating System on the Desktop?
it is a wireless keyboard and mouse,i have windows xp and as far as i know it is supported.john
Try going to the Labtec website and download and install the latest drivers for the laser1200. This is often better than using the supplied software.
tried this it is still not happening.
Just a thought, perhaps your laptop has enhanced USB2, but not the desktop, and perhaps the labtec setup is not backwards compatible.
it does`nt tell you much about it on the diagram it gives you, will go to the website and try to find out.
In relation to my last thought above - does your desktop have Enhanced USB?
no it does`nt have enhanced usb2
Maybe the Labtec items only work with Enhanced usb2.In which case you would need click here
i have tried it on my laptop which is usb1 and is about 7 years old and it works ok
