I have a new Dell laptop, only a few months old.Suddenly the No. 1 key has been playing up, I have to press it really hard and more than once to get it to work. I have never had problems with keys before. What could cause this and is there a way to fix it?

Hey there ,you may need to replace the key that does not work, you can find replacement laptop keyboard keys at I usually buy my keys i have issues with from them , they are reasonable and are great at service.

Thank you for your SPAM Tech_guru2000 but as the laptop is under 1 year old it is the responsibility of the seller to arrange to mend/replace it at no expense.

Tech_guru2000 was only offering a bit od advice, get off your high horse.

As Kirsty K has not bothered to reply to any posts, either the problem is solved or she does not want any help.

The fact that this thread is nearly four months old, is typical of Spammers.

I agree with lotvic!

oops sorry got sidetracked for a minute but like Fruit Bat /\0/\ says take it or send it back it is covered by the 1 year warranty and should be sent back for repair.
