keyboard shortcuts?

I'm posting on behalf of a friends daughter.

This problem arose when after her grandfather had been using her pc, which may or may not be coincidental.

It would seem that they've accidentally turned on some special keyboard shortcuts, for instance, She'll be in Word and press D,and it goes back to the desktop. It's all single letters. She doesn't need to press CTRL, Alt or anything. They've tried plugging in another keyboard and I've searched through the accessibility options to see if they've turned anything on by accident but can't find anything that would do this.

I'm sure I must be missing something simple here. Anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi, only a guess, but you could go to Start>Control Panel>Keyboard and see if it gives the option to Restore Defaults (mine does - but not all have this option).

Sounds as though she may have enabled "Sticky Keys"

I hope this helps.

We tried Sticky Keys along with the other accessibility options, but I'll suggest the Restore Defaults option to her.

Thanks guys
