Keyboard problems

  Oldrocker 10:50 07 Sep 2005

I have recently purchased a new keyboard, but the upper case items are in the wrong places.For instance, if I want to use @, I have to use upper case 2.There is no pound sign either.
How can I put this right ?

sounds like its set to usa not gb eng

For WinXP

Start->Control Panel->Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options->Regional and Language Options->Language->Details->Add->Untied Kingdom->OK->Highlight Untied Kingdom->Set As Default->OK

It is roughly the same for previous versions of Windows.

If the keyboard doesn't have a key for the £ sign then you have been sold an american keyboard and should take it back. If it's just that you don't get the £ sign when the press the £ key then follow mattyc_92's instructions to change it to UK.
