when i turn my pc off the num lock on the keyboard & the mouse light is still on can any one help?

I think you will find, your computer is not turning off, but going into sleep or hibernation mode.

But to get a more specific answer, we need to know what operating system you are using, and an overview of your computers specification.

It' quite normsal. When an ATX type computer (all recent ones) is turned off, unless you switch off or disconnect the mains power, there is still power in the system. This is how they are able to be switched on from the keyboard, and from the front power switch, which is just a pushbutton - not an actual mains switch.

It's a bit like a VCR - it never totally turns off. It's also why you must take care to switch off the mains supply when changing items inside the tower, otherwise you may damage them.
