Kernell32 & Explorer.exe internet access.

Continuously getting prompts from Sygate to allow these to access the internet.

Just like this: click here
which was never resolved.

What's occurring?

Don't know so be deeply suspicious. Have a lot of this and in applications have checked the box NEVER let kernel32.dll access the internet -everything still works OK. So it isn't needed and therefore looks dodgey plus.

You're on NTL aren't you Canard. I wonder if it's just some normal network traffic? 'ntl' was in the lookup details on one of the I.P addresses.

Yes I'm on NTL. But never found an explanation for kernel32.dll using the web abd there has been no need for it to in six months. As I have no idea what is normal or otherwise internet traffic am cautious. Incidentally the new version of Sygate has conniptions when accessing BBC Listen Again and updating AVG -it reports port scan critical .Also gets neurotic when Winamp plays an online file and thinks it's an application hijack.

Nothing to worry about apparently,canard.
