Kazza - help and opinions

  Fateful Shadow 13:34 19 Jul 2003

I have recently thought about downloading kazza onto my laptop, however, I need to know some other peoples opinions before I make my descision!

Firstly, a lot of my friends use Kazza, but I don't know what is best...Kazza normal, or Kazza lite?

Secondly, if I were to download, for instance, part of a cartoon, and I didn't give anything back to the Kazza community, would I be unable to download anything else?

Thirdly, what is the security like? I mean, is it fantastic and you don't have to worry much, or is it another Napster :P ?

That's all my questions for now

Feedback would be greatly appreciated

I think you will get an almost 100% negative vote for this and all similar programs here.

I should bring your attention to one of the Site Policy of PCA

"'Cracks' or copyright infringement - we do not permit the posting of information that will enable other people to use pirated software or to evade the copyright laws. Please do not post serial numbers or CD keys, or links to sites that contain file-sharing software or such information."

Nearly everyone in here either dislikes and/or doesn't use Kazza?

Thanks -pops- for bringing the Cracks policy to my attention. I had no idea of that!

Thanks anyway!

make sure you load ad-aware, spyblaster and spybot (all freeware) onto your machine otherwise it will be taken over! :)

Don't touch it even with a very long bargepole!

"Nearly everyone in here either dislikes and/or doesn't use Kazza"

No, nearly everyone says they don't like it or don't use it what they actually do could be very different :)

I suggest you use the search facility and search Helproom for kazza OR kaaza.

This will give you a flavour of what a contentious subject this is on this forum.

Kazza is the biggest source of viruses on the net these days's, so if you do decide to download it for goodness sake make sure your anti virus is up to date, I had to remove 142 off my nephews computer that hadn't done this, also beware some downloads may not be what you think, there are reports of child pornography being downloaded in 'innocent' looking files.

My opinion, don't touch it with a barge pole.

If you download Kazza, you will find it extremely difficult to get rid of. It is also riddled with viruses (don't like 'virii'!), trojans and dialers. Don't touch it with anyones bargepole, though finding a bargepole will be a problem, anyway.
