Kasperski Anti Virus

I tend to run the Swift method of Kasperski which checks all the alterations & new files.
This takes 2 minutes as against the full scan which takes around 30 minutes.
I may do a full scan now & again.
I have had no problems but my son says I should always run the full scan. Comments please.

As a rule of thumb I run a full anti-virus/spyware/adware/malware scans once a week along with a disk-defrag and 'crap cleaner'

Better safe than sorry in my eyes and it onle takes an absolute maximum of 2 hours. Oh, and I use McAfee, not Kasperski - is it any good?

I agree with splatter, although I believe how much you're on the internet depends to the frequency of your scans.
I run my antivirus about every 3/4 days on a quick scan. Then once a week on a full scan. The same can be said for my spyware scans etc.
I defragment about once a month, and a cleaner once a week.

I go on the internet every day as I am retired & it pases my time on.

I have used Norton,AVG,McAfee & in my opinion Kaspersky is the best & very easy to configure & run.

Thanks guys for your comments.
