k lite codec pack for windows 7

Hi Forum members i hope i'm in the right place for sending this message. I'm looking for a website that is safe to download k lite codec pack for windows 7 there are so many of them when i googled it i wasn't sure which one to choose from... i just don't want to end up on some hooky website and and up getting a virus or anything... would be very obliged if anybody could help out in this dept please & thanks in advance :-)

Top of the list on Google is free-codecs.com, which I seem to remember using safely in the past. However, I also see that download.cnet.com is an alternative - that's a very well-known and reliable site.

I always download to my computer but not run.
Once downloaded you can scan it with your security programs to make sure it is clean then run it.
