jpeg corruption

I've had to recover some lost baby photo jpegs for a friend but some will not display despite the properties appearing to be ok and the recovery software saying the file was good. I'm assuming corrution somewhere. Is there any software that can repair corrupted jpeg files?

I'm not sure there's anything that can do a lot with recovered but corrupted files, you can't edit what you can't see or isn't there ? I'd try other recovery programmes (some come with free trials) and see if they're better at recovering a good file to start.

The main thing is your friend shouldn't do anything which risks overwriting the deleted files in which case they may be lost forever, leading to much grief from the distaff side.

I suspect that there isn't but you never know. I stopped them from using the disc until we'd run a couple of recovery progs. It still amazes me that people still don't back up their stuff particularly as they where so important to them(although they will now).
