hi i have a just got a amd 2000xp+ chip and trying to install it into a jetway board 867as

If you haven't already, see click here for a copy of your mobo manual. See P7 for processor multiplier settings - set yours to 12.5x. Then see P8 for the Front Side Bus (FSB) settings - choose 133.

This gives 133 x 12.5 = 1662.5, which is as near as makes no difference to the actual clock speed of the Athlon 2000XP (1667MHz).

tried the settings for 12.5 x 133 and still sat like a pumpkin on browsing the mb manual it says pg 11 most system will not boot if non compliant modules are used '' back to the drawing board for me ,i tried diffrent setup,s at 100 bus and 133 but no joy ,it is always the simpleist things that is the easy'est to overlook ,
i dont think the new chip could be nakerd ,
