ive got ports open and it isnt good

ive recently got on line and put a free firewall on my system(sygate personal firewall). the firewall has been brillient but when i do tests a couple of things are still open. they are as follows:
port 1025
protocal-ICMP type 8
service-SSH port 22
can anyone tell me how to close them as ive been told its not good.

please help

Hi, I would suggest you use ZoneAlarm instead, then you can run your pc completely stealthed - invisible to the internet.

From what I remember of Sygate you should be able to manually block those ports, maybe someone can check were you can do that. I can't check 'cos I don't run Windows.

Download free version of zonealarm, once this is installed download and run "Shields up" this will tell you which ports are open an which are stealthed, and can resolve the issues you have. hth.
