Good specs there AL,

I take it you have check for new drivers and scanned for malware etc.

Sorry for stating the obvious, but i thought a new machine with good specs like that should fly along.

yeah thats what i thought, its good till i play games

and i cant get any new nvidia drivers since february, i think thats the main problem, i tried to update but it didnt work

Games !!!

We hear this all the time..Vista and Games.

Have you tried running the games in compatibility mode ?

  Forum Editor 18:59 07 Nov 2007

is not going to run slowly because of Vista; there must be some other reason. The machine came with Vista preinstalled, and should run perfectly, straight from the box. If it doesn't, and you haven't installed any software that might be causing the problem you should return the computer to Dell and ask for it to be fixed.

Installing Win XP isn't the answer.

If you want to play games well on a PC or LAPPY turning off all non essential services A/Vs auto updates screensavers and the like will help a lot....
