Itunes will not load

I have downloaded Itunes but when i try to run the programme I get an error box saying "The instruction at 0x10001040 referenced memory at 0x10001040. he memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program"

Does anyone know what the problem is?

You may find you did not install quicktimw with it check that out .You may need to install it seperately if not installed it needs quicktime to run I believe

I have used Apple software update to update Quicktime and Itunes but get the same error message.

When I try to run Quicktime from the desktop icon I get the following message : "A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the program's internal state. The program cannot continue execution and must be terminated."

Make sure that you do have quicktime installed. As eedcam suggested, this error message is related to quicktime installation. click here

I have tried loading Quicktime again. When I try to run Quicktime, it gives a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime error. "Buffer overrun detected" and it won't load.
