iTunes and podcasts

I am having great difficulty with iTunes - it's probably an age thing!
If I "get" a podcast, is it stored as a file somwhere?
What I want to do is to burn podcasts onto CD or a memory stick for playing on a device other than the computer e.g. CD player, mp3 player etc.
No difficulty in using Nero to burn if I know where the file is.

My grand daughters have their iTunes on my PC.
Podcasts are in iTunes/iTunes Music/Podcasts folder.
The ones they have there are in MPEG4 -Audio format.
I am not sure in what other device they could be played - I guess Windows Media Player?

Thanks. Precede that path with my Documents/My Music & there they are all in mp3 format.
The format would not have mattered because I use Switch regularly but, of course, mp3 is ideal

Sorry to have missed out the first 2 paths! Glad you solved it! You could, of course use iTunes to burn an audio CD if they are in MP3 format.
