Hi all just a quick question regarding the above

my Eldest Daughter has adopted my old laptop, she hasn't got Internet at her place, if we installed itunes on the Laptop at my House could she use it properly off line at hers?

any help would be appreciated thank you.

But it will be limited. You won't be able to buy from the itunes store for example, and when you put a cd in, it won't be able to automatically put the track names on and get the album artwork. I'd recommend purely for ease that she tries to get as much music as she can onto it while she's connected to the internet, or she'll be spending a lifetime naming songs!!

Thanks I will let her know the downfalls of being off line.

Don't forget that the pitfalls apply to any music player offline, not just itunes! If she buys a song then tries to play it while offline it will still play! I'd recommend itunes even if she doesn't have an ipod as it's dead easy to use, but obviously it's each to their own!
