Hello all, I have itunes on my desktop, which had an internal hard drive of 160Gb, so i decided tp purchase an external hard drive of 320Gb about 2 years ago, and all is fine. now that the prices of hard drives have dropped drastically......i want to purchase a 1Tb hard drive from Now here is the slight problem i have currently my itunes media folder is located in my I drive which is the external drive and this is ok,.....but ive noticed that all my itunes songs are no longer organised and all the songs are just scattered randomly around...i thot they all used to be inside a folder called itunes on my external hard drive, but all the songs are just scattered round individually. So my question is....when i get the new bigger external hard i just copy all the contents from the old hard drive to the new one, or look for the itunes folder on my hard drive?? and also I'd like like to make the new 1tb hard drive the location for my itunes songs....hope i'm making sense

Move all your music into one folder on your drive

EG I:\My Music

In Itunes Edit - preferences - Advanced
change Itunes folder location to I:\My Music
tick "Keep Itunes folder organise..."
tick "Copy to Itunes folder when adding to library"

Instructions are for Itunes 4.2 but I expect 9 hasn't changed that much
