iTunes - Can't add folder

  Rob Gibson 14:12 18 Jul 2008

I'm adding music to my iTunes library using "Add Folder To Library". This is working fine, but for one particular folder/album. When I click to add this folder nothing happens. The folder contains mp3 files, and they are picked up fine in WinAmp and WMP11. If I use Windows Explorer and select "Open With" iTunes, again nothing happens in iTunes.

I've tried moving, copying, and renaming the folder, but iTunes refuses to cooperate.

Anyone have any suggestions?

It's hardly life or death, but it's irritating me!

iTunes will skip adding songs that have already been added through Add Folder.

maybe it added them already and you don't know it. You could try renaming the directory and see if it will add them from there.

If the filenames are too long it will also skip them,

Are the MP3's being locked by another process? Do you have a different music player looking at those files?

This thread is now locked and can not be replied to.
