I have XP Windows home edition.
Since only me uses the computer ,is it possible to avoid the 'signing in ceremony' with my password?
Thank you

Thank you 'buteman' for your guidance.
I went to control panel and then user accounts and was able to delete my password after I had entered my present password.
Thank you

Did you get it to bypass the welcome screen or do you still have to click on the sign in icon.

Hi 'buteman'
I presume it by passes the welcome screen because I just switch on and everything becomes available.
Sorry I did not reply sooner!!!!!!! been shopping
If I have 'hibernated I have to click on the sign in icon
Hope this helps

Ok.As long as you are happy that way it is just a matter of clicking the icon instead of signing in.Somewhere in that click here it tells you how to by pass the welcome screen.

I don't have to click on any icons anymore not even in Hibernation.
