To create a shortcut to the Google Task Bar to the desktop to save having to open the home page in Internet Explorer to get to it?

downloaded your suggestion but just got the following. seems that a shortcut is installed with this application but no good for a single user. ----- Google Desktop for the Enterprise is intended for installation on multiple computers in an organization. It is not intended for installation by a single user on a single
machine. A shortcut is placed on the desktops and in the Start menus for all users of the system. When another user runs Google Desktop from one of these
shortcuts, it will be enabled for him or her, and run automatically whenever that user logs in to the machine.

Will delete the Aps now. Thx for your time and help.

You could try adding the Google Toolbar and setting your home page to blank. IE will open quickly and you'll be able to serach from the Toolbar.
