ISP says a VIRUS - but Norton can't find it.

My ISP returns all my attempts to send mail from my laptop saying that it may be infected with
Ringzero.gen virus. My Norton anti-virus software is up to date (today) but it finds no virus during the search.

I have done a manual search for the relevant files, such as Ring0.exe etc, but again cannot find anything.

In the meantime I can receive mail, but cannot send.

Anyone any ideas??

have you tried the symantec web-site for info?

looks like you are one of only 50 people to get infected
