IrfanView\Photo question

  TommyRed 21:07 22 Jan 2004

I've just started a night course on digital photography, the software the're using is 'Photoshop Elements 2.0' which can compress your photos to about 130kb for e-mailing. Is IrfanView able to do this, and if so, where? TIA TR

Image, Resize (Control R) and reduce the size to about 400 x 300 pixels. Then save as JPG 50% quality should be about right.

PixResizer from also works well and saves at least one step by resizing the original file(s) to your chosen level automatically - you can get down to around 20KB for e-mail pix.

Very simple to use.
