IPOD Touch - downloading apps

how do i donload a game/application so it shows on the main screen?

ive searched some ones i like on apple.com, but when i click on it is is a link to a web site- where you can play it- vut i want an icon on the main screen...

i think you have to make a folder for that stuff on itunes i dont know thought becuase i have the new nano

i didnt know you could put games on it. I thought it was like the iphone (no 3rd party apps) the mind boggles

you can definitley put apps on it.

Your link shows the iPhone on the left and the iTouch on the right!!!

To date there is no way of loading 3rd party apps to either. It has been reported that Apple will update the software on both from Feb 08 to allow for such upgrades. click here

I think I should have said

"There is no OFFICIAL way of loading 3rd party apps".

The current situation seems to be that both the iPhone and iTouch have been hacked. Apple then responds by updating their software killing the hacks.
