Hi all ,
Does anybody know why my neice,s ipod locks up when playing songs , the only way she can play anything is by switching off and starting again . Its a 30gig and about 6mths old.

Hi, only guessing, 'cos I don't have an iPod ..
but perhaps one of the songs has become corrupted - if she can note which song is playing when it locks up, and then deletes that song?? Just a guess.

If you have all the sogs on itunes then you could restore it (this takes it back to factory settings and deletes all data on it. Download the latest version of iTunes (ww.apple.com/itunes or click here) it is iTunes 7.0.2 and plug the iPod in. When it shows in iTunes click on it in the left hand side list and click restore on the screen that comes up. It will take a minute or two to do this but just let it sort itself, then load the music back on.

Good luck
