I'm trying to help a friend who's NTL broadband connection has gone down ( WIN XP). In network connections it says its connected, checked all the leads, turned off set top box - restarted ect ...still no connection! Talked to NTL tech support and after numerous tests they said we had wrong ip address and they tried to renew it but PC wouldn't accept it. They've said now pc must be faulty. I tried to load tiscali dialup as a short term measure but that won't let me connect even via modem ( dials up then page cannot be displayed).
Where do I go from here? Any advice greatly accepted!
