intusion attempts through windows messenger

Hi, my norton antivirus keeps blocking various
intrusion attempts I.E worms,trojens.

Through program files/messenger/msmsgs.exe

any advise on how to resolve this TIA

do a full scan with all your definitions up to date, but I think you'll find you're fine - the warnings are just Norton telling you rather intrusively that it's doing its job and stopping the nasties from getting in. Turn off the alerts and forget about them.

however, if you are recieving these warnings, from whose machine are they coming,; are you speaking with people who have infections on their machines; I for one would be rather concerned about this,:(

have people got infections and are not aware of them, or cannot be bothered to clean and scan their machines?

Could just be Norton warning you that Messenger is trying to accept and make connections on the web
