Intruction called referenced memory, can't write??

Hi all,

Just got round to buying CoD the other day. Played it for a while yesterday and it was fine apart from closing down randomly. Intalled the 1.2 patch for it which seemed to fix the problem.

Now for some reason today, i've been getting

"The instruction at "0x6972f7d1" referenced memory at "0x0c752000". The memory could not be written."

messages around 5mins into playing, prompting me to either press ok and close the game or cancel and debug.

Why is this happening? It was fine yesterday after i installed the patch. Do i have to reinstall it?

If you have video BIOS shadowing or caching enabled, try disabling it

I can't find any settings to adjust those things, so i assume that either my card don't support it or summat.

Mysticnas, try turning off your anti-virus checker, especially if it's AVG. See if this cures the problem. j.

The settings are in the MainBoard BIOS, not the Graphics Card

it didn't help at all.

i have norton AV and FW and disabled NAV but it didn't make a differnce. :o(

Maybe if i installed the game on another drive.or tried a repair?

I found a .txt file in the CoD directory, the file is called "localization" and contains the following text...

That's it. Does Its mentions the possibilty of missing dll's. Might a reinstall fix this?
