hi can anyone help? when i open control panel and click on internet options it will not open all the others open ok but not internet options

Does it work when you use Tools.Internet Options or has that gone as well.

TRY Start.Run and type or paste this into it.

CONTROL INETCPL.CPL then press Ok.See if that brings it up.

Maybe download update and run Malwarebytes as it can be caused by Spyware.
Or Spybot can be the cause if you use that.
Maybe download and use Firefox until you get it sorted. click here

i do use firefox but i also need ie for getting any windows updates

I believe there is an I/E add on that can be added to Firefox which allows you to get updates Etc.

If you still have the XP disc or Vista you could try. Run. and type in sfc /scannow small space after the sfc. I tried that on a laptop with Vista and it ran without the disc.
