Internet Time synchronize

I synchronise my computer clock (bottom right hand corner) with the sites (time.windows.com or time.nist.gov) that XP provides.

I noticed that both these sites adjust my clock time forward by 7 minutes. A quick check with the BBC shows I'm running 7 minutes fast.

What gives? Any idea's?

Thats PCAvisor time, could explain why the site clock is sometimes adrift.

Don't know the answer.

I use the XP time check about once a week - it's always spot on when the test has been run.

Just out of curiosity, what happens if you set your Taskbar clock seven minutes slow and then rerun the tests?

Stuartli

I set it 7 minutes slow, did the synch and voila!!! 7 minutes slow, weird.

Thanks one and all for the tips/sites etc

Back to the pips,I think

Wierd is the word...:-)

Why not try a minute fast before trying again - at least you wouldn't be as far out...:-)
