Internet Options

I have downloaded BBC IPlayer - it appeas to install (the progress bar fills) the the installation stops dead.

I have been told to go into the browser, click Tools etc. to enable active controls and plug ins.
I can't see the item tools in IE7 and can't see any reference to active x controls in Firefox 3.

I remember that in IE6 i could go into Tools/Internet Options - so why not IE7. Anyone experienced this and know of a solution? Thanks

On my version of IE7 the "tools" bit is the 5Th item on the top menu bare after favourites, edit , view etc

In IE7 right click the toolbar and tick Menu. Then Tools > Internet Options.

Look in Control Panel for Internet Options

VOG: I would never have sussed the right click on the toolbar on my own - many thanks.

Thanks to Woodchip - you're tip tried and committed to memory - lets hope it doesn't get lost. <g>

Thanks to fullyfitted - the menu bar wasn't switched on and, as I don't normally use IE now I hadn't a clue how to swtch it on.

ActiveX and other controls, as advised by BBC IPlayer's Andrew have been enabled. I attempt another download after this.

Thanks again.
